Alaska to Washington

My sis-in-law Elizabeth and I travelled down from her ex-hometown Soldotna on the Kenai peninsula back to Washington state. 2800 miles and six nights. I will be posting a few entries with pictures of our trip so stay tuned if you are interested.

Here's E's car leaving Alaska and entering the Yukon.

We had a lot of fun, including one freezing night in Tok-- when we woke up the car doors were frozen shut. Well, I never fell asleep because I was certain bears were going to maul us in the night.

Just a tip for travellers: Fort St. John is just as lame as Fort Nelson. Keep on driving!

Oh, and avoid Tim Horton's. They don't take VISA! VISA, for crying out loud.
